MUMBAI: Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s daughter, Ida Ali, has got engaged to her longtime partner, Krish Agrawal, in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai.
Imtiaz Ali shared a glimpse of the engagement on social media, showing Ida and Krish exchanging rings. The filmmaker also sought blessings for the newly engaged couple.
Ida appeared in a pastel pink outfit for the occasion, while Krish wore a dark sherwani. The ceremony was attended by close friends and family, with pictures and videos from the celebration subsequently appearing on social media.
The engagement follows Krish’s proposal to Ida during their trip to Norway earlier this year. Ida had shared glimpses of the proposal and her engagement ring on social media in July.
Ida is also pursuing a career in filmmaking. She studied filmmaking at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in California and has worked on projects including Maya and Lift. She and Krish also co-host a Hindi-film-focused podcast and have launched a production company, Blue Curtain Films.
Krish Agrawal, 24, reportedly works as a quantitative researcher at a hedge fund. The couple has been together for several years and shares an interest in travel.
No wedding date has been announced so far.
