The award was presented by Taj Muhammad Tarand, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, during a ceremony at Sahibzada Abdul Qayum Hall, University of Peshawar, held as part of the International Youth Day programme.

Expanding opportunities for young people
Born in Khanpur, Haripur, Hassan Nisar founded Metrix Pakistan in 2022, an organisation focused on education, skills development and youth empowerment.
Since its establishment, Metrix Pakistan has organised programmes in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with particular attention to underserved communities and young people with limited access to educational and professional opportunities.
The organisation has conducted workshops, seminars and training programmes covering areas including digital marketing, blockchain, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and other technology-related skills.
Many of these initiatives have been conducted outside major urban centres, providing young people in smaller communities with opportunities to gain access to technology, training and educational resources.
Officials recognise youth-focused work
Speaking at the ceremony, Taj Muhammad Tarand praised Nisar’s efforts to engage and develop young people, saying such initiatives contribute to the development and promotion of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Secretary Muhammad Asif and Director Abbas Khan Afridi also acknowledged his contribution to youth-focused activities and educational initiatives.
Receiving the award, Hassan Nisar said the recognition reflected the collective work carried out through Metrix Pakistan. He said he would continue efforts to promote education, skills development and opportunities for young people, particularly those from underserved communities.
