Rawalpindi: England captain Harry Brook praised Pakistan’s performance after his side suffered an 87-run defeat in the ODI tri-series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Brook said Pakistan played well, particularly in the fielding and bowling departments. He added that England would look to produce a better performance against Sri Lanka.

Brook Highlights Pakistan’s Bowling

Brook said England were unable to build strong partnerships after an initial partnership during their chase.

He praised Pakistan’s bowling performance and acknowledged that England needed to be better prepared to handle pressure during the innings.

England Lost Wickets Quickly

The England captain said he did not believe his team had necessarily lost the match in the first innings, but acknowledged that Pakistan played excellent cricket.

He said Pakistan bowled particularly well during the first half of the match, while England lost wickets quickly during their innings.

Brook described the early loss of wickets as part of the nature of the game and said such situations can happen in cricket.

England will now look to improve their performance in their upcoming match against Sri Lanka.
