MARDAN, October 25, 2026: University of Haripur Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmed visited Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), where he held discussions with senior faculty and administrative officials on strengthening academic collaboration, research opportunities and higher education standards.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmed met Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees, Chairman of the Department of Education, and Abrar Hussain Omarzai, Additional Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell. Provost Pir Asfandyar was also present.
The meeting focused on improving teaching standards, promoting research activities and expanding academic cooperation between the two universities.
Participants discussed opportunities for exchanging academic experiences, strengthening institutional coordination and developing collaborative initiatives in higher education and research.
They also highlighted the importance of quality education, new research opportunities and improvements in university administration to support academic development.
Prof. Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmed has extensive experience in higher education, research and university administration. He previously served as a dean and professor at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and has also held the position of vice chancellor at the University of Okara and the University of Kamalia.
The visit aimed to strengthen academic relations between the institutions, facilitate the exchange of professional expertise and explore opportunities for cooperation in teaching, research and institutional development.
The discussions also emphasized the importance of continued engagement between universities to improve educational quality and promote research collaboration.
