PESHAWAR (Staff Report): Hamza, son of Suleman, a seven-year-old Thalassemia Major patient registered with Hamza Foundation Peshawar under Registration No. HFTP-1060, has successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant at Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, Islamabad.
Hamza had received more than 60 blood transfusions as part of his treatment prior to the transplant. The successful bone marrow transplant marks a major milestone in his fight against Thalassemia. Following this procedure, he is expected to no longer require regular blood transfusions every 10 to 15 days, Insha’Allah.
