HFP President Ms Sadia Rashid presided over the conference, which included Hamd, recitation in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), a Milad gathering and a Bismillah ceremony for Naunehal students.
Seerat teachings emphasised
Former Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Professor Dr Shaista Tabassum, who attended as chief guest, said studying the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provides guidance for character building and practical life.
She said the Prophet’s life reflected mercy, goodness, moral excellence and guidance, adding that the teachings of Seerat should not only be studied but also applied in everyday life.
Dr Tabassum highlighted truthfulness, honesty, integrity, justice and love for humanity as important lessons from the Seerat. She also encouraged students to develop the ability to distinguish between truth and falsehood rather than following traditions simply because they have been inherited from previous generations.
She further stressed the importance of using appropriate language in religious speeches and Na’at, saying expressions of devotion should remain within the boundaries of Islamic beliefs.

Naunehal students Syeda Hani of Hamdard Public School, Malaika Malik of New Standard Public School, Maryam of The Oasis Public School and Mustafa Nadir of Azimi Public Higher Secondary School spoke about mercy, patience, forgiveness and good character in the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The students said that anger, hatred and arrogance should be avoided and that people should strive to develop compassion, patience, forgiveness and love in their lives by following the Prophet’s example.
Dr Shaista Tabassum praised the students for their well-prepared speeches and appreciated the efforts of their teachers. She also acknowledged the educational and training services of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said and offered prayers for the health and wellbeing of Ms Sadia Rashid.
Milad and Bismillah ceremony
A Milad gathering was held during the conference, with students from Hamdard Public School, Hamdard Village School and other educational institutions presenting Hamd and Na’at.
Hamdard Pakistan Managing Director and CEO Ms Fatema Munir Ahmed, Hamdard University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Imran Amin, teachers and parents also attended the event.
The conference concluded with a Bismillah ceremony for Naunehal students Naimal Imdad and Syeda Ayesha Naqvi. Qari Hamid Mahmood Al-Hussaini led the concluding prayer.
