MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Govinda has publicly responded to allegations of infidelity made by his wife, Sunita Ahuja, saying he believes someone is influencing her and that a “game” is being played against him.
In an interview with ABP Live, Govinda said he did not want to name or publicly shame anyone, but claimed that a third person was misleading Sunita. He said he had anticipated facing such circumstances years ago.
Govinda said allegations and speculation about his personal life had followed him for years, adding that people had repeatedly told him he would eventually be portrayed as unfaithful.
The actor maintained that he did not want to expose or embarrass anyone involved in the dispute. He also acknowledged Sunita’s role in his life and career and said he wanted their differences to be resolved respectfully.
Govinda added that he would avoid directly responding to Sunita’s allegations as long as the people he believes are influencing her remain involved in the matter.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children, daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan.
The couple came into the spotlight after Sunita reportedly referred to an alleged affair involving Govinda, with the name of his Roopa co-star Komal Rani Suryavanshi being mentioned in connection with the controversy.
The issue gained further attention after Govinda was reportedly seen with Komal at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja pandal during a Hindu festival, while Sunita visited the pandal separately.
Their appearances sparked discussion on social media, after which Komal also shared an ambiguous note on Instagram that was interpreted by some as a response to the controversy.
