Government School Student Tops BISE Malakand Matric Exam 2026 as Girls Shine in Results

LOWER DIR: The Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand has announced the results of the First Annual SSC (Matric) Examination 2026, with a student from a government school securing the overall top position for the first time. Female students dominated the merit list, highlighting the strong academic performance of government schools across the region.

The results were announced during a prize distribution ceremony attended by senior education officials, position holders, students, parents, and representatives of educational institutions.

Science Group Position Holders

Sawira Gul, a student of Government Girls High School Tangi, Timergara, secured first position in the board by scoring 1,174 marks.

Tuba Iman of SPS College Batkhela secured second position with 1,162 marks.

Talha, a student of the Higher Secondary School, University of Malakand, and Owais Ahmed of Government High School Watange, Lower Dir, jointly secured third position with 1,161 marks each.

Humanities Group Position Holders

In the Humanities Group, Fatemi Zahra of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Toota Jan, Malakand, secured first position with 1,105 marks.

Bilqis Ghani of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kambar Maidan claimed second position with 1,101 marks.

Hafsa Shah, a private candidate from Lower Dir, secured third position with 1,091 marks.

Education Officials Congratulate Students

The ceremony was attended by Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid Khan, BISE Malakand Chairman Kaleemullah Khan, Board Secretary Prof. Ghulam Zahid Jan, Controller of Examinations Dr. Hafiz Ayaz Ahmed, and Vice Chancellor of the University of Malakand Prof. Dr. Mir Azam Khan.

Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Khalid Khan congratulated the successful students and said educational boards have a responsibility beyond issuing certificates. He emphasized that boards should help nurture students’ talents and prepare them to contribute to the country’s development through education and excellence.
