Four siblings in Abbottabad—three sisters and a brother—are seeking practical support to use their computer skills to earn a livelihood and contribute to their family despite living with disabilities.
The siblings, who are currently residing in a rented house in Nawan Shehr, Abbottabad, have computer-related skills and hope to become financially self-reliant through work they can perform from home. Their family is seeking digital equipment, employment opportunities and basic household support.
According to the family, all four siblings developed a mysterious illness after reaching middle-school and matriculation levels. Their lower bodies have remained paralyzed for the past eight years.
Their elderly father, Muhammad Naseer, said the family is facing severe financial difficulties. Their mother is responsible for caring for the four siblings at home, further increasing the family’s challenges.
The siblings could potentially use computers and internet access for income-generating activities such as data entry, typing, graphic designing and other digital services, depending on their individual skills and available opportunities.
The family is particularly seeking a laptop that could help one of the siblings pursue graphic-design work. They also need regular household rations to meet their immediate needs.
Philanthropists, welfare organizations, social groups and relevant government departments have been urged to support the family through sustainable livelihood opportunities rather than limiting assistance to one-time donations.
With appropriate digital equipment, internet access and suitable remote-work opportunities, the siblings hope to use their skills to become more self-reliant and live with greater dignity and independence.
