QUETTA: Security forces killed four militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung district, Balochistan, security sources said on Friday.
The operation was conducted under Operation Azm, as security forces intensified counterterrorism activities following a series of militant incidents in the area.
According to security sources, four members of the group officially described as Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during the operation, while several other militants were reportedly injured.
A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants killed in the operation, the sources said. Motorcycles allegedly being used by the militant group were seized by security personnel.
Security forces also arrested several suspected individuals accused of facilitating militant activities in the region. The identities of those detained and further details regarding their alleged involvement were not immediately released.

Security sources said intelligence-based operations had been accelerated in Mastung following recent militant attacks and other violent activities in the Khad Kocha area.
Mastung has witnessed several security incidents in recent years due to the presence of militant networks operating across parts of Balochistan. Security forces have continued targeted operations aimed at dismantling militant hideouts, disrupting logistical networks and arresting individuals accused of providing assistance to armed groups.
