Football World Shaken as 25-Year-Old Portuguese Player Dies

Portuguese footballer Kevin Castro, 25, died after suddenly collapsing during a friendly match in Portugal, according to the Lisbon Football Association.

Castro was playing for Real SC SAD against Estrela da Amadora when he collapsed during the match and died. The cause of his sudden death has not yet been disclosed.

The Lisbon Football Association expressed its condolences to Castro’s family, friends and Real SC SAD following the death.

Real Sport Clube also paid tribute to the player, describing him as more than a footballer and saying he had been part of the club’s wider family.
