Five members of a family, including a couple and their three children, have died under mysterious circumstances in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, prompting an investigation into the cause of their deaths.
According to Indian media reports, the family ate noodles on Friday night before the deaths occurred. However, authorities have not established any confirmed link between the meal and the deaths.
Food Safety Officials Examine Food Items
Food safety officials investigating the incident inspected packets of food and other consumables used by the family.
Food Safety Officer O.P. Singh said the inspection did not reveal any expired products or other suspicious items. The team examined the food products used by the family but found nothing during the initial assessment that could explain the deaths.
Singh also noted that food poisoning commonly causes symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea, although the absence of such findings does not by itself establish the cause of death.
Poisoning Theory Under Investigation
After no suspicious substance was identified during the initial food inspection, a food safety official raised the possibility of poisoning. However, this remains a suspicion rather than a confirmed finding.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of death of all five family members. Further forensic and medical findings are expected to clarify whether the deaths were linked to food, poisoning or another cause
