LAHORE: Police have detained a female teacher in Lahore’s Badami Bagh area following allegations that she assaulted an eight-year-old second-grade student.
According to the complaint, the student, identified as Adnan Sultan, was injured after allegedly being struck on the head with a stick. Police registered a case against the teacher under Section 328-A and took her into custody as part of the investigation.
Police begin investigation
Police said the allegations are being investigated and that the circumstances surrounding the incident will be determined through the legal process.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations said violence against children would not be tolerated and that action would be taken in accordance with the law.
The case remains under investigation, while further details about the child’s condition and the circumstances of the alleged incident have not been disclosed.
