Fakhar Zaman Announces Partnership With Alkhidmat Foundation for Cricket Academy

LAHORE: Pakistan opening batter Fakhar Zaman has announced that his cricket academy will operate under the patronage of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, in a move aimed at promoting youth development and expanding access to cricket training across the country.

The announcement was made during Fakhar Zaman’s visit to the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan headquarters in Lahore, where he met the organization’s leadership and discussed plans to support young athletes through sports and community initiatives.

Academy to Operate Under Alkhidmat Foundation

During the visit, Fakhar Zaman toured the Alkhidmat headquarters and the Alkhidmat Sports Complex, where he also played cricket with young participants.

He announced that his academy will now operate as the Alkhidmat Fakhar Zaman Cricket Academy under the management of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. He also said additional cricket academies would be established in other cities in collaboration with the foundation.

Focus on Youth Development Through Sports

According to Fakhar Zaman, the initiative aims to promote sports among young people, nurture emerging cricket talent and encourage healthy, positive activities that contribute to character development.

He also praised Alkhidmat Foundation’s welfare initiatives, including its Aghosh Homes, orphan care programmes and support for children living with thalassemia.

Foundation Welcomes Collaboration

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman welcomed the partnership, saying it would help encourage youth participation in sports and strengthen talent development initiatives.

Director Sports Engineer Ahmad Hammad Rashid said the foundation would continue working to create opportunities for young athletes and promote sports as a positive force for youth engagement across Pakistan.
