PESHAWAR: Dr. Muhammad Waqas, serving as a Veterinary Officer in the Livestock and Dairy Development Department (Extension), has successfully completed his PhD from the Agriculture University Peshawar. He defended his doctoral research dissertation on Wednesday under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sarzamin Khan, Chairman of the Department of Poultry Science.
According to university officials, Dr. Waqas’s research dissertation was evaluated by external experts from the United States and Canada, who highly appreciated its academic quality and research contribution. During the public defense seminar, Dr. Waqas confidently responded to all questions raised by the panel and participants.

The PhD defense ceremony was attended by Director Advanced Studies and Research Dr. Muhammad Sajid, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences Swat Prof. Dr. Umer Saddique, Principal College of Veterinary Sciences Prof. Dr. Murad Ali, Chairman Department of Livestock Management Dr. Muhammad Sohail, along with faculty members, officers and postgraduate students.
Participants congratulated Dr. Muhammad Waqas on his academic achievement and expressed hope that his research would contribute positively to the livestock and poultry sectors.
