Chitral, April 7, 2026: The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has established a primary school in Koghuzi village near the Golen Gol Hydel Power Station to provide education facilities for children of the local community and its employees.
The school has formally started its academic session, offering a structured learning environment aimed at promoting academic development and personal growth among students in the area.
Focus on education in remote areas
The initiative is part of WAPDA’s corporate social responsibility efforts, targeting improved access to education in remote parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Local residents and parents welcomed the move, describing it as a much-needed step to enhance educational opportunities in the region.
