District Youth Office organises week-long digital skills training for students in Upper Dir

Upper Dir: The District Youth Office Upper Dir, in collaboration with the District Administration and the London Institute of Professional Studies, organised a week-long IT Digital Skills Boot Camp aimed at equipping students with modern digital competencies and preparing them for opportunities in the digital economy.

According to District Youth Officer Shehzad Tariq, the primary objective of the boot camp was to provide students with essential IT and digital skills to enhance their academic performance, explore freelancing avenues, and build foundations for future careers.

The closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held on January 20 at the London Institute of Professional Studies in Wari, Upper Dir. More than 60 students received participation and appreciation certificates after successfully completing the training programme.

Mr. Ayoub Khan welcomed the guests and participants and efficiently performed the duties of stage secretary. Speaking on the occasion, Adil Islam expressed gratitude to the District Administration and the District Youth Office for their cooperation and support, describing the boot camp as a productive and successful initiative. He hoped that similar programmes would be organised in the future to help students develop IT skills and begin freelancing alongside their studies.

Guest speakers Jauhar Ali, Ashfaq Ahmad, and Zeeshan highlighted key areas such as digital marketing, Amazon business, basic IT skills, graphic designing, and web development, offering practical guidance and insights to participants.

Addressing the ceremony, District Youth Officer Shehzad Tariq described youth as a national asset and stressed that skill-based training programmes play a crucial role in shaping students’ education and professional futures. He announced that similar workshops and training sessions would be arranged in every tehsil of Upper Dir.

A question-and-answer session was also held, during which students appreciated the District Youth Office for organising the programme. Other notable attendees included Mr. Luqman Adil and Mr. Zohaib Jan.

At the conclusion of the event, shields and gifts were presented to the guest speakers as a token of appreciation.
