Its first time in history of Pakistan that every political party wants negotiations with their own conditions for power sharing of the bright future of the country. It’s a good omen but in circumstances where every party or institution apply its own conditions it is impossible unites On negotiations because it needs open dialogue between all powers centers as the defense minister Khawaja Asif said that one sided negotiations or one man show will not be acceptable and that is true spirit, if parties want actual dialogues then they will have listen to each other opinion then the debate will open for farther negotiations.
As the reader knows that form a year or so the leader of PTI, Imran Khan is saying continuously that he will negotiate with only one power that is indirectly is the military leader ship but that way he is actually isolating other political and judicial powers of the state. So the PTI, leadership should change its policy and give the democracy a chance to move on, if the ex-prime minister would not change its stance then, it would be impossible to lay the foundation of a balance and long standing democracy in the country.
On other hand yesterday the press briefing of the DG, ISPR, Lieutenant general Ahmad shareef Chaudhry was also very clear that “the army is not the army of any particular party or school of thought. For us, all political parties and leaders are respectable. No single individual, his politics, or his desire for power is above Pakistan. At present, there are governments of political parties in the federation and the provinces. It is the job of political parties to hold political talks. It is welcome that politicians sit together and resolve their issues, and not engage in chaotic politics.’’ So the political leader ship should also have the responsibility to be unite on the national issues.
The defense Minister Khawja Asif said while he was speaking during a ceremony hosted on death anniversary of Khawaja Rafiq “There is army, bureaucracy, politicians, judiciary and media. These are the power centers and they need to sit together to resolve the issues in the country.” However, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader warned the government’s negotiating team to not let Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan “take advantage of you”.
Asif’s comments come as the federal government kick-started the talks with the PTI earlier this week at the Parliament House, following months of heightened political tensions. According to reports The PTI, during the talks, has demanded a judicial probe into May 9 riots and November 26 late-night crackdown and release of “political prisoners”. The two sides are set to hold multiple sessions to reach a solution which their next meeting scheduled to take place on January 2.
Asif, while addressing the members of the ceremony, said he was not against the negotiations and very much hopes that they are successful. The defense minister, without naming Khan, highlighted that the history of 10-15 years shows that PML-N has only taken an initiative in the negotiations.
“Anyone, even from the PTI, tell me who he has [Khan] shown loyalty to,” he asked, adding that the former premier did not even attend the funerals of those who spent their lives with him. “He uses people. Don’t let him use you, I am warning you,” he reiterated.
Therefor the purpose of the arguments is that in such circumstances no solo flight could salve the political and socioeconomic problems of the country. So as defense minister narrates that if all power centers should give’s their input in the above dialogue then it will be pave the platform for the further negotiations, so hoped that PTI will also change its stance for the good well of the country.
