ISLAMABAD: Director General Public Relations (Navy), Commodore Ahmed Hussain SI(M), has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral.
According to a press release issued Friday, Rear Admiral Ahmed Hussain brings with him extensive experience in both command and staff appointments, including the command of Pakistan Navy ships. He has also led the US-led Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151) in Bahrain.
Holder of the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) in recognition of his distinguished service, Rear Admiral Hussain has significantly contributed to strengthening transparency and communication between the Pakistan Navy and the public. His responsibilities include media briefings, managing outreach initiatives, and ensuring the effective delivery of the Navy’s strategic messaging at the national level.
His elevation comes at a time when effective naval communication is increasingly important amid evolving global and regional security dynamics and maritime challenges.
