KARACHI: A Judicial Magistrate East court in Karachi has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Dania Shah in a case involving the alleged viral circulation of videos of late TV host Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
The court ordered authorities to arrest Dania Shah and produce her before the court after she failed to appear for the hearing.
During the proceedings, Dania Shah’s lawyer submitted an application seeking exemption from her personal appearance. However, the court rejected the request after the complainant’s lawyer raised an objection.
The court subsequently adjourned further proceedings until October 28.
The cybercrime case against Dania Shah was registered on the complaint of Aamir Liaquat’s daughter over the alleged circulation of his videos.
