COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to introduce a digital medical examination system aimed at modernizing the conduct and management of medical examinations in Pakistan.

Under the agreement, COMSATS University will provide the technical expertise, infrastructure, and digital examination solutions required to help SZABMU transition from conventional examination processes to a comprehensive digital system.

According to the agreement, COMSATS University will establish fully operational digital examination centers across its campuses to facilitate different types of medical examinations.

The university will also deploy and manage a Digital Examination Management System (DEMS), enabling real-time monitoring, secure data management, and improved administrative efficiency throughout the examination process.

Focus on Transparency and Secure Assessments

COMSATS said the new system is designed to enhance transparency, fairness, and integrity in examinations while minimizing the possibility of bias.

The university will provide technical staff, IT support, monitoring services, and the necessary infrastructure, including uninterrupted power supply and secure network connectivity, to ensure the smooth operation of the digital examination system.

Agreement Signed by University Leadership

The agreement was signed by COMSATS University Rector Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar and Registrar Dr. Faheem Ashraf Qureshi, while Prof. Dr. Tanveer Khalique, Vice Chancellor of SZABMU, and Dr. Afshin Mansoor, Controller of Examinations, signed on behalf of the medical university.

Officials from both institutions said the collaboration aims to strengthen the quality of medical examinations and align assessment practices with national and international academic standards.

The partnership also reflects COMSATS University’s continued focus on supporting education, research, innovation, and technology-driven solutions for Pakistan’s higher education sector.
