LAHORE: Central Business District Punjab has stepped up work on several of its flagship development projects in Lahore, with Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin directing teams to accelerate construction and complete remaining works on priority.

Amin visited CBD Walk, The Second Walk, CBD Lake and CBD NSIT City on Monday to review progress on construction, finishing and infrastructure development, according to the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority.

At CBD Walk, officials briefed the CEO that floor tile work and travertine installation on the building elevations were nearing completion. Amin directed project teams to maintain the pace of work and ordered asphalt work to begin at the project’s entrance to improve access and the overall appearance of the site.

He also inspected ongoing development and upgradation work at CBD Lake and instructed the relevant teams to complete the remaining work and make the facility operational as soon as possible.

During a separate visit to CBD NSIT City, Amin reviewed progress on different components of the technology-focused development project. Officials told him that the main structural work on the project’s entrance gate was close to completion.

CBD Punjab describes NSIT City as Pakistan’s first and largest IT city, forming part of the authority’s broader plan to develop Lahore as a major business and technology hub.

Amin said the authority was focused on delivering projects that meet standards of quality, functionality and timely completion.

“CBD Punjab is committed to delivering world-class urban infrastructure that reflects Lahore’s potential as a modern business and technology hub,” he said, adding that project teams had been directed to accelerate the remaining work while maintaining construction and finishing standards.

The CEO also instructed CBD Punjab departments, consultants and contractors to improve coordination and resolve outstanding issues without delay as work continues across the authority’s major projects.
