LAHORE, September 7, 2026: Chief Executive Officer of Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), Imran Amin, has directed officials to accelerate site clearance at Bab-e-Pakistan while ensuring the landmark’s historical and heritage significance is preserved.
The directive came during an extensive inspection of development work at CBD Bab District and CBD NSIT City, where Amin reviewed progress on key infrastructure and construction projects.
He was accompanied by senior CBD Punjab officials, representatives of NESPAK and project contractors. The team assessed structural progress, access infrastructure and ongoing development work across several project zones.
At Bab-e-Pakistan, Amin received a briefing on the project’s structural framework and design. He instructed the relevant teams to begin clearing the area without delay, while avoiding any work that could compromise the site’s heritage value.
The delegation later visited NSIT City, where engineers briefed the CEO on progress at the main entrance gate and surrounding access roads.
According to project officials, the main structure of the NSIT City entrance gate has been completed. Asphalt work, installation of planters and cobblestone paving in the public areas are now nearing completion.
Amin also inspected the Celestia IT & Office Tower, where exterior glass façade installation is currently under way.
Following the field visits, he chaired a review meeting to assess timelines and implementation challenges across the projects.
“Completing projects within designated timelines is the hallmark of CBD Punjab, and we are committed to maintaining this operational standard,” Amin said.
He added that CBD Punjab had become an important contributor to Punjab’s economic development and that all necessary resources were being deployed to ensure timely completion of ongoing projects.
CBD Punjab is undertaking a series of large-scale urban development projects in Lahore aimed at expanding modern infrastructure, commercial activity and technology-focused business districts.
