ISLAMABAD, July 17, 2026: BYD Pakistan has received its largest shipment of new energy vehicles (NEVs) to date, with more than 2,000 electric vehicles arriving at Karachi Port aboard a Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) vessel to support growing customer demand across the country.

The shipment was announced by Mega Motor Company (MMC), BYD’s official partner in Pakistan, which said the arrival marks one of the largest consignments of BYD vehicles ever imported into the country. The company said the vehicles will be delivered to customers as demand for electric mobility continues to grow.

The latest shipment comes as Pakistan’s electric vehicle market expands, with increasing consumer interest in cleaner transportation, lower operating costs and advanced automotive technologies.

Shipment Aims to Meet Rising EV Demand

Danish Khaliq, Vice President of Sales and Strategy at BYD Pakistan–MMC, said the arrival reflects growing consumer confidence in new energy vehicles despite global supply chain pressures and rising international demand for BYD vehicles.

He said the company had worked closely with its global partner to strengthen supply planning and logistics to improve vehicle availability and reduce customer waiting times.

Khaliq added that BYD Pakistan would continue investing in after-sales services and expanding its charging infrastructure to support the country’s transition to electric mobility.

Pakistan Remains a Key Growth Market

Lei Jian, Country Head of BYD Pakistan, described Pakistan as an important market in the company’s global expansion strategy.

He said BYD remains committed to supporting Pakistan’s shift towards cleaner transportation by introducing advanced electric vehicles and strengthening its long-term presence in the country.

Jian thanked customers for their confidence in the brand and said the company would continue supporting the next phase of electric mobility in Pakistan.

RoRo Vessel Improves Vehicle Logistics

The shipment arrived through a Roll-on/Roll-off vessel, a transport system designed specifically for carrying vehicles efficiently and securely.

According to the company, the use of RoRo shipping enables larger consignments to be transported more efficiently, strengthens supply chain reliability and improves vehicle availability for customers.

The latest delivery underscores the growing momentum of Pakistan’s electric vehicle market as automakers continue expanding their presence in the country.
