The veteran Pakistani actress says a cosmetic treatment around her eyes caused unexpected facial changes, leaving her frightened and keeping her away from the public for two months.
Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has revealed that a Botox treatment she underwent around her eyes more than a decade ago led to unexpected changes in her face.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actress discussed skincare and her experience with Botox, explaining that inadequate medical guidance complicated the situation.
Botox Treatment Led to Unexpected Changes
According to Ansari, she underwent Botox treatment around her eyes around 10 to 12 years ago. She said she slept on the same side of her face where the treatment had been administered.
Five to six days later, she noticed that the effects appeared to have shifted downward, causing her face to droop. She also said her eyes were affected and the shape of her lips changed.
The changes frightened her, and she recalled worrying that she might be experiencing a stroke.
Actress Stayed Away From the Public for Two Months
Ansari said she remained at home and did not show her face to anyone for approximately two months.
When she contacted the doctor who had performed the treatment, she said she was told that her concerns were only in her imagination. The response angered her, prompting her to seek advice from another doctor.
According to the actress, the second doctor explained that the Botox had moved from its intended location.

Reflecting on the experience, Ansari emphasised the importance of doctors providing appropriate guidance and reassurance to patients who experience complications after cosmetic procedures.
She said medical professionals should listen to patients’ concerns and help address their problems rather than dismissing their experiences.
