Bus Accident on Karakoram Highway Leaves Multiple Injured

A devastating bus accident occurred on the Karakoram Highway at Doga Barsin in Upper Kohistan, involving a bus traveling from Rawalpindi to Gilgit with registration number GLT-6105. The incident resulted in multiple injuries, including children and women. According to rescue sources, the bus lost control of the driver and overturned on the road, causing injuries to 13 passengers.

Passersby informed local police and rescue services, who promptly arrived at the scene with ambulances to initiate rescue operations. Rescue 1122 provided first aid to all injured passengers at the scene and transferred two critically injured individuals to District Headquarters Hospital Dasu for further medical treatment. The injured included children and women. The incident highlights the potential dangers of traveling on the Karakoram Highway, a scenic route known for its breathtaking landscapes and challenging road conditions. Authorities are urged to take measures to improve road safety and prevent such accidents in the future
