ABBOTTABAD: A fan of Pakistan cricket star Babar Azam crossed a boundary barrier at Abbottabad Stadium to meet the batter, with a video of the incident going viral on social media.
Babar is currently representing OGDCL in the President’s Trophy Grade-I, where a large number of fans have gathered to catch a glimpse of the star cricketer.
According to the supplied report, one enthusiastic fan crossed the fence along the boundary line and entered the playing area to meet Babar.
A video circulating on social media shows the fan taking a selfie with Babar before performing a sajda-e-shukr and then running back toward the exit.
The fan was later taken into custody by security personnel.
A social media post also claimed that Babar immediately tried to help the fan and sent a player to request his release. However, the supplied report does not independently verify the claim.
