ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the final examination schedule for MS, MPhil and PhD (Face-to-Face) programmes for the Spring 2026 semester, along with important deadlines and entry test dates for Autumn 2026 admissions.
According to the schedule released by the university, examinations for the Faculty of Education have already started from August 3, 2026, while exams for the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies and the Faculty of Social Sciences will begin on August 10.
AIOU has set August 10, 2026, as the deadline for admissions to Matric, FA, Associate Degree, BS, B.Ed., Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate programmes.
The last date for submitting admission applications for MS, MPhil and PhD programmes has been fixed as August 17, 2026. The university clarified that no extension will be provided for postgraduate research programmes as the entry test schedule has already been finalized.
The entry tests for Autumn 2026 admissions will be conducted according to the following schedule:
- Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies: August 21, 2026
- Faculty of Education: August 24, 2026
- Faculty of Social Sciences: August 27, 2026
- Faculty of Sciences: August 28, 2026
AIOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood advised prospective students to complete their admission process well before the deadline and avoid waiting until the final date.
He also encouraged applicants to review the prospectus, admission guidelines and detailed schedules available on the university’s official website before submitting their forms.
The announcement provides key timelines for students seeking admission to AIOU’s postgraduate, undergraduate and research programmes during the upcoming academic cycle.
