MUMBAI: A police report into the shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has reportedly revealed that the alleged shooters had initially planned to target superstar Aamir Khan.

According to Indian media reports, Mumbai Police are investigating the shooting incident and have found that the attackers allegedly conducted reconnaissance at Aamir Khan’s residence three times before shifting their focus to Tiger Shroff.

The report said the alleged attackers were unable to target Aamir Khan because the actor was frequently travelling for film shoots. They subsequently turned their attention to Tiger Shroff.

Police sources reportedly said Tiger Shroff was considered a more accessible target because he had been regularly playing football at a park in Juhu for several weeks. The shooting incident also took place near the same location.

According to Indian media reports, investigators are examining whether the alleged plan against Aamir Khan was connected to threats he reportedly received in July, which were attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Police also suspect that the three alleged attackers were receiving real-time information about police operations from their facilitators. Investigators reportedly believe encrypted voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) messaging applications were used for communication.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the reported allegations have not been independently established in court.
