Skill-based education, he added, can significantly boost economic and financial activities across the region.
The commissioner expressed these views while addressing a ceremony as the chief guest at the Government Vocational Training Institute, Sector D1, Mirpur. The event was chaired by IMC Chairman Raja Khalid Mehmood Khan, with stage secretary duties performed by Instructor Raja Hanif Khan. He emphasized the importance of providing modern technical education alongside academic learning, enabling students to contribute effectively to the nation’s development while reducing unemployment. He also urged philanthropists and wealthy individuals to support government-established technical institutions, helping Kashmiri youth acquire skills aligned with modern demands.
IMC Chairman Raja Khalid Mehmood Khan suggested introducing an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) course for repairing modern vehicles and motorcycles.
