Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s representative to the United Arab Emirates met with HE. Dr Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emirates, Ministry of Human Resources and Emirates (MOHRE) in Dubai.
Ambassador Tirmizi expressed his respect and gratitude on behalf of Pakistani Overseas and Federal Minister for Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain. dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmanan Al Awar.
The meeting mainly discussed issues of mutual interest with the Pakistani diaspora working in various sectors in the UAE. Ambassador Tirmizi praised and thanked the leadership of the UAE for giving immense confidence to Pakistan as a brotherly and friendly country. He thanked the UAE government and people for accepting around 1.7 million Pakistanis who supported their families and country by sending remittances home.
Both sides said that Pakistanis have played an important role in the development of the UAE and that there is great scope and potential for developing bilateral cooperation in various fields. To make it easier for Pakistanis to find jobs in the UAE, meetings include visa processing, verification, document verification, etc.
The Ministry of Human Resources and the Emirates have offered all possible assistance to streamline visa matching services, in particular sharing technological best practices to reduce human contact and ensure transparency. He said that Pakistanis will continue to play their role in the development of the UAE and both parties will work together to overcome challenges.
Ambassador Tirmizi also discussed health insurance for Pakistani workers and agreed that the two sides will work together to solve relevant issues and encourage workers to opt for health insurance plans.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials of both parties.
