A significant milestone in agricultural research and development was marked at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) with the inauguration of the book titled “Climate Smart Agriculture for Future Food Security” authored by Dr. Rai Muhammad Amir.
The honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar uz Zaman, along with Registrar Mr. Muhammad Aqeel Sultan, formally inaugurated the book during a prestigious ceremony held at the university. The book has been published by Springer, a renowned international academic publisher, which reflects the global recognition of this timely and impactful work.
This publication addresses modern challenges in agriculture due to climate change and presents smart, innovative, and sustainable solutions aimed at ensuring future food security, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions. Dr. Rai Muhammad Amir, a distinguished scholar from the Institute of Food and Nutritional Sciences, has highlighted practical strategies, scientific models, and policy recommendations vital for researchers, policymakers, and students.
The Vice Chancellor praised the efforts of Dr. Amir and emphasized the importance of promoting indigenous research to combat climate-related challenges in agriculture. He noted that such international publications bring pride to the university and help enhance its global academic standing.
