ISLAMABAD: PPP leader Shazia Marri said that President Dr. Arif Alvi “misuses authority” by not convening the National Assembly.
“It is necessary for the president to call a meeting of the National Assembly to sum up the prime minister without delay,” she said in a statement, adding that the president should follow the constitution rather than the “orders of one person”.

She said Alvi is the same president who tried to dissolve the assembly “unconstitutionally” in the past. She said Alvi’s violation of the constitution and abuse of office will go down in history.
“The National Assembly elections are over, the president is obliged to call a meeting,” she said.
