SUJAWAL: Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr, grandson of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, has once again hinted at launching a new political party, saying the initiative would focus on creating opportunities for youth while drawing on the experience of seasoned political workers.
Speaking to media in Sujawal on Wednesday, Bhutto said he and Fatima Bhutto were committed to political engagement but were waiting for the right time to formally announce their plans. He added that combining experience with innovation would benefit the people of Sindh.
Responding to questions about the Pakistan People’s Party’s long presence in power, Bhutto said citizens wanted leaders like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, and his father, Meer Murtaza Bhutto. He criticized the Sindh government for failing to manage emergencies, citing the Gul Center fire tragedy as an example of poor planning and weak oversight by the Sindh Building Control Authority.
During his visit, Bhutto also paid tribute to veteran PPP worker Ustad Younous Bhan, a close ally of Meer Murtaza Bhutto. He described Bhan as a dynamic and devoted political activist who consistently raised his voice against injustice and inequality, adding that his contributions would always be remembered.
