ISLAMABAD, July 21: Zindigi, the digital banking platform powered by JS Bank, has partnered with UK-based fintech company nsave to offer Pakistani freelancers and individuals a faster, lower-cost way to receive international remittances.
The collaboration is aimed at improving access to cross-border payments by allowing users to receive overseas funds more efficiently while reducing transfer charges and exchange rate losses. The initiative also supports the State Bank of Pakistan’s efforts to promote inward remittances and expand financial inclusion.
Under the partnership, nsave’s international banking infrastructure will be integrated with Zindigi’s digital banking platform, enabling users to receive payments from international clients, family members and personal transfers more conveniently.
According to the companies, Pakistani users will have access to a multi-currency international account through nsave, allowing them to receive funds in US dollars without receiving fees. The money can then be transferred to their Zindigi accounts free of charge and converted into Pakistani rupees at market-based exchange rates.
The companies said freelancers often lose between five and 10 percent of their earnings because of transfer fees and unfavourable exchange rates, adding that the new service is designed to help users retain a larger share of their income.
In the first phase of the partnership, international transfers will be credited directly to local Zindigi accounts within minutes. Future updates will allow users to create and link nsave accounts through the Zindigi app, making access to international banking services more seamless.
The companies also plan to introduce additional services for freelancers and remote workers, including access to US stock market investments, euro and British pound accounts, and an international US dollar payment card.
Zindigi Chief Officer Noman Azhar said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to expanding financial inclusion and creating better opportunities for Pakistan’s growing freelance community.
“Pakistan is home to one of the world’s largest freelancer communities, yet many continue to face unnecessary barriers and high costs when receiving payments from abroad. Through our partnership with nsave, we aim to remove those barriers and provide a more affordable and accessible financial ecosystem,” he said.
Amer Baroudi, co-founder of nsave, said the collaboration goes beyond facilitating payments by helping users preserve the value of their earnings.
“Our partnership with Zindigi enables Pakistan’s freelancers to receive payments from anywhere in the world in US dollars without receiving fees while helping them retain more of the value of their work,” he said.
The partnership is part of Zindigi’s broader strategy to strengthen digital financial services in Pakistan, while nsave continues to expand financial solutions for freelancers and remote workers in emerging markets.
