MARDAN: Provincial General Secretary of the Central Organization Traders Zahir Shah has said that journalism is the fourth pillar of the state and journalists are playing a fundamental role in identifying social evils through their pen, as well as developing the region and promoting democracy. He expressed these views along with his delegation on the occasion of congratulating the newly elected president of Mardan Press Club Riaz Mayar, General Secretary Pervez Khan Afridi, Vice President Hidayat Rahman Hoti, Joint Secretary Aamir Shoaib and Finance Secretary Pervez Shaheen. The delegation comprised Chairman Ghulam Sarwar Saraf, General Secretary Waqar Ali Bacha, Mardan Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President Nouman Faqir Saraf, Vice President Waheed Gul, Presidents and General Secretaries of various markets. Press Club President Riaz Mayar thanked Zahir Shah and his delegation and said that trade is a prophetic profession and traders are the backbone of the country’s development. Zahir Shah said that Mardan Press Club has always responded to the voice of the oppressed and promoted positive journalism. Journalists have a great role in the development of mardan businessmen garlanded the newly elected officials and wished them well.
