YouTube users are reporting a fresh sign-in problem affecting web browsers, even as their Google accounts continue to work normally across other services.
The reports come shortly after YouTube fixed a separate issue that had prevented some users from signing in on televisions and gaming consoles.
Over roughly the past two weeks, a number of users have said they are unable to sign in to YouTube through a browser despite having full access to the same Google accounts elsewhere.
One Reddit user said they had tried clearing cookies, switching browsers, using incognito mode, changing the account password and even attempting to sign in from another computer, but none of those steps resolved the issue.
The affected accounts were still working normally in the YouTube mobile app.
A similar report posted in the YouTube Community described the same pattern. The user could access their Google account without difficulty, while Google Dashboard and Google Takeout continued to recognise their YouTube data correctly.
However, every browser-based attempt to sign in to YouTube failed and triggered the platform’s “Our tubes must be clogged” error message.
The reports suggest the issue is limited to browser access for some users rather than a broader Google account problem.
