Youth Parliament, ICSTSI sign LOU to promote youth entrepreneurship

ISLAMABAD: The Youth Parliament of Pakistan and the Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (ICSTSI) have signed a Letter of Understanding to promote youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and cooperation with small traders and industries across Pakistan.

The LOU was signed at the ICSTSI Chamber Secretariat in Islamabad. The initiative is aimed at creating opportunities for young people through joint programmes, awareness campaigns, training workshops and leadership development activities.

The Youth Parliament delegation was led by its President Ubaid Qureshi, along with Coordinator Qaiser Jamil and Executive Member Bakhtawar Mehmood. ICSTSI President Awais Satti welcomed the delegation and signed the agreement on behalf of the chamber.

The ceremony was also attended by Sardar Zaheer Ahmad, former president Malik Nadeem Akhtar, former senior vice president Amjad Abbasi, former vice president Aqeel Abbasi, former executive members Jamil Qureshi, Sher Muhammad and Ahmad Ali Abbasi, Brig. (R) Aslam Khan, ICSTSI Builders Committee Chairman Asad Taimur, Secretary General Bushra Khan, council members Rohail Anwar Butt and Ishaq Sial, and Hotel and Management Committee Chairman Aziz ur Rehman.

Under the understanding, both organisations will work together on initiatives designed to strengthen business skills, leadership capacity and entrepreneurial awareness among youth.

Participants said the partnership could help build stronger links between the business community and young people, while supporting entrepreneurship and economic participation in the country.
