Rubina Khalid administers oath at Federal Youth Parliament, urges youth leadership

Peshawar | April 30, 2026: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, attended the Federal Youth Parliament oath-taking ceremony as chief guest and administered the oath to newly elected office-bearers.

Addressing the ceremony, she said youth participation in leadership is essential for strengthening institutions and promoting national unity. She added that a stable federation is key to ensuring the strength and progress of all provinces.

Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted the role of young people in Pakistan’s development, noting that platforms like the Federal Youth Parliament provide opportunities to nurture talent and prepare future leaders.

She also referred to the Benazir Income Support Programme as one of the country’s largest social protection initiatives, stating that it currently supports more than 10 million families while contributing to broader human development goals.

The chairperson said the government is taking steps to empower youth through education, awareness, and leadership opportunities. She emphasized that economic empowerment of women and youth remains a priority.

She encouraged participants to take an active role in national progress, stating that the country’s future depends on the contribution and leadership of its younger generation.
