KOHAT: Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Kohat collected 2,992 tonnes of solid waste, cleaned nearly 53 kilometres of drains and resolved 726 public complaints during September 2026, according to its monthly service delivery figures.
The company said sanitation operations covered Kohat city, KDA and adjoining areas, with collected waste transported to the Muhammad Zai dumping site for disposal.
During the month, WSSC teams cleaned 52,985 metres of drains as part of efforts to improve drainage and reduce sanitation-related problems.
In the water supply sector, the company supplied around 4 million gallons of drinking water to consumers and registered 19 new water connections.
To reduce water losses and improve network efficiency, WSSC replaced 35 metres of corroded pipeline and another 48 metres of damaged pipeline.
The company also conducted 10 water quality tests during September to monitor the standard of drinking water being supplied to residents.
According to WSSC Kohat, 754 public complaints were received during the month, of which 726 were resolved.
The company said it would continue efforts to improve sanitation, drainage and water supply services across Kohat and strengthen response to public complaints.
