KOHAT: The Board of Directors of Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Kohat has approved a series of administrative and digital reforms aimed at improving municipal service delivery, billing efficiency and water and sewerage management.
The decisions were taken during the 42nd meeting of the board, chaired by Board Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saad Qureshi.
The board approved the minutes of its previous meeting and reviewed the company’s administrative, technical and customer-service performance.
Members praised Head of IT and Customer Services Arif Kamal for developing an in-house software application and integrating the WSSC Kohat billing system with JazzCash.
The digital payment facility is expected to make bill payments more convenient for customers while improving operational efficiency and record management.
The board also reviewed the UNICEF-supported Geographic Information System mapping and Decision Support System developed to strengthen the planning and management of water supply and sewerage services.
Officials said the GIS-based system would help improve infrastructure monitoring, identify service gaps and support better decision-making across WSSC Kohat’s operational areas.
The board reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, institutional modernisation and the provision of efficient, timely and technology-driven municipal services to residents of Kohat.
