Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again received death threats, with an additional challenge issued this time. According to Indian media reports, just two days after Salman Khan allegedly received a death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, he received another threatening message on Thursday, November 7.
A spokesperson for the Mumbai police stated on Friday morning, “Last night, the Mumbai Traffic Control Room received another threatening message against actor Salman Khan, with the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang mentioned. The Worli police have registered a case and an investigation has begun.”
The report further stated that in this new message received by the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline, Salman Khan was demanded to pay a sum of 5 crore rupees. The message also allegedly included threats to a songwriter who had composed a song about Lawrence Bishnoi.
The threatening message from the Bishnoi gang also stated that supporters of the actor would be targeted, and Salman Khan was challenged to save the songwriter if he could.
The traffic police have informed Worli police and provided all the information related to the call. Police are now trying to trace the person who sent the message.
It is worth noting that on November 5, Mumbai police received another threatening message for Salman Khan, demanding either an apology or the payment of 5 crore rupees for his safety. In connection with this, a 32-year-old man from Jalore, Rajasthan, was arrested in Karnataka and handed over to Maharashtra police on Wednesday.
According to police sources, the arrested individual was identified as Bheka Ram, also known as Vikram, a daily wage worker who claims to be an admirer of Lawrence Bishnoi. Police reported that Bheka Ram made the threat call to the Mumbai police control room after watching a news segment on a regional news channel.
