National wrestler Athar Zahid has approached an Islamabad court, alleging that he was defrauded of Rs50 million in an investment-related dispute. The court has issued a show-cause notice to the accused over the submission of an allegedly fake transaction receipt.

The matter was heard by Additional and Sessions Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich at the Islamabad District and Sessions Court on Athar Zahid’s application seeking registration of a case. His lawyer, Sher Afzal Marwat, appeared before the court.

According to the application, Athar Zahid had given Rs50 million to Pir Asim Ali Shah for investment. The applicant stated that the accused paid profits for some time but allegedly had him arrested with the involvement of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) when he sought the return of his principal investment.

Court Issues Show-Cause Notice

During the hearing, Athar Zahid’s lawyer alleged that the accused submitted a fake receipt showing a transaction of Rs100,000 before the court.

The court issued a show-cause notice to the accused over the alleged submission of the fake receipt.

The court also summoned the Station House Officer (SHO) of Shalimar Police Station for the next hearing and adjourned the case until October 28.

The allegations are part of an ongoing court proceeding, and the claims have not been established as fact by a final judicial determination.
