PESHAWAR: The Wafaqi Mohtasib Regional Office Peshawar has secured Rs220,500 in financial assistance from Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal for a cancer patient after intervening in her complaint over delayed support for medical treatment.
According to the Wafaqi Mohtasib, Lala Rukh, a resident of University Town, Peshawar, approached the regional office after her request for financial assistance from Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal remained unresolved.
The complainant, who is suffering from breast cancer and had also undergone surgery for ovarian cancer, said she had no independent source of income and was unable to meet the cost of her treatment.

Speaking on the occasion, Qasim Jan said the Wafaqi Mohtasib remained committed to protecting the rights of deserving and vulnerable citizens by providing prompt and cost-free administrative justice.
