Rumors claiming that football star Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodríguez are set to marry this week have been circulating widely on social media. However, available evidence indicates the claims are false, and no wedding is scheduled for August 1.
The speculation began after Portuguese television presenter Adriano Silva Martins claimed on the TV show V+ Fama that Ronaldo and Rodríguez would marry on August 1 at Quinta da Regaleira, a historic estate in Portugal. The report also alleged that guests had been instructed to wear black.
Spanish Magazine Rejects Wedding Claims
Spanish magazine ¡Hola! has denied the reports, confirming that Ronaldo and Rodríguez are not getting married this week.
According to the publication, Quinta da Regaleira will remain open to visitors on August 1 as scheduled. The venue is also due to host a separate musical performance that evening, making it unlikely that a large private wedding ceremony will take place there.
Ronaldo and Georgina’s Relationship
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have been together since 2016 and announced their engagement in August 2025.
In a 2025 interview, Ronaldo said he expected to marry Rodríguez after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, rather than before the tournament.
At the time of publication, neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has announced any change to those plans, and there is no official confirmation of a wedding taking place this week.
