Usman Wazeer Announces 19th International Fight in Thailand

Pakistani professional boxer Usman Wazeer has announced his next international bout, with the fighter set to face Indonesia’s Eri Agustin in Thailand on September 26.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Wazeer said the upcoming contest will be his 19th international fight. He said he aims to continue representing Pakistan in professional boxing and build on his record.

Wazeer Targets Another International Victory

Wazeer said he has won 18 fights so far and is preparing for his next challenge against Agustin.

He also recalled winning Pakistan’s first World Youth title and said he wants to further raise the country’s profile in professional boxing.

According to Wazeer, sponsorship is an important part of a professional athlete’s career, but he has faced difficulties in securing sufficient support during his career.

Boxer Eyes Olympic Opportunity

Wazeer said he could also represent Pakistan at the Olympics if the national boxing federation plays an effective role and provides the necessary support.

He also acknowledged financial assistance from the Corps Commander Peshawar and the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan for his boxing career.

Wazeer said he intends to support emerging boxers in the future and help athletes who are pursuing careers in the sport.
