UPPER DIR: Dr. Ateeur Rahman, a resident of Patrak in Upper Dir and a scholar at Qurtuba University Peshawar, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis and completed his PhD in the Department of Botany and Life Chemical Sciences.
His research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Adil, while Dr. Naveed Akhtar of Islamia College Peshawar served as the external examiner.
Dr. Ateeur Rahman’s research, titled “Drug Standardization and Biological Investigation of Selected Plants of Dir Kohistan,” focused on the scientific evaluation and standardization of medicinal plants found in the Dir Kohistan region.
According to academic sources, the study has made a valuable contribution to the fields of Botany and Life Chemical Sciences by exploring the biological properties and potential applications of selected plant species.
