Muzaffarabad: “Palestine and Jammu Kashmir Solidarity Rally” was organized by refugees from Jammu and Kashmir to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to details, people at the rally raised slogans against Israeli and Indian state terrorism and demanded the establishment of an independent Palestine besides the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
The rally was started from Old Secretariat to Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk holding banners and placards.
Speakers on the occasion expressed pity for the helpless people in Palestine and Gaza and said that Israel is killing the people of Gaza like insects.
They described the UN Security Council resolution as an important step in which an immediate ceasefire was adopted in Gaza and demanded its implementation soon.
They said that the UNSC must show its authority over nations as the same organization passed resolutions on Kashmir 76 years ago while hundreds of thousands sacrificed their lives for its implementation, but the role of the organization remained a silent spectator.
The speakers said they had observed more than 33,000 martyrs in Gaza since October 2023 and declared them the great martyrs of Bait-ul-Maqdis.
They also rejected the Indian military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and said that Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir were not hidden from anyone for the last 76 years.
However, India remained unable to succeed in enslaving the Kashmiri people by military force.
The Kashmiri leadership said that the people of the state rejected the cruel acts of the Indian Lok Sabha on 5 August 2019 and the biased, political, and anti-Kashmir decision of the Indian Supreme Court on 11 December 2023 was written by the Bharatiya Janata Party and read by Indian judges.
They said that 44 thousand refugees in Azad Kashmir condemn all kinds of aggression by Indian forces in illegally occupied Kashmir.
