Thousands of fans gathered at the airport in Wilmington, North Carolina, when the game was called 30 minutes before kickoff.
“We want to make sure everyone is safe above all else, and that’s why they’re asking people to evacuate the site and seek shelter,” Trump said on the loudspeaker as clouds darkened and lightning flashed. .

Trump once again promised a rally “bigger and better” there, and the disappointed crowd quickly dispersed.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of business fraud as part of a scheme to cover up payments to porn stars to prevent revelations of sexism before defeating Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
