Toyota Corolla 3rd Facelift: What Changed From the Old Model?

Share f X WA in

Toyota has introduced the third facelift of the 11th-generation Corolla, giving the sedan another round of styling, interior and equipment updates while retaining the familiar overall shape and mechanical setup.

The latest facelift brings changes to the front and rear design, alloy wheels, cabin colors, audio system, connectivity and lighting equipment.

Toyota has also published its own comparison between the outgoing Corolla and the updated model. However, some of the newly listed features are limited to selected variants, particularly the Grande.

Here is a closer look at what has changed between the old Corolla and the new facelift.

Toyota has kept the Corolla’s underlying formula largely unchanged, but the latest facelift introduces enough exterior and interior revisions to distinguish it from the outgoing version.

Not every new feature is standard across the range, with some equipment reserved for the Grande variant.

Redesigned Front and Rear

The outgoing Corolla used Toyota’s familiar X Package styling introduced with the second facelift in 2021.

The third facelift now receives a redesigned front and rear profile, including a new front grille and revisions to the lower bumper lips.

Toyota has also refreshed the alloy-wheel design. All variants equipped with alloy wheels now receive new 16-inch machined alloys.

Revised Exterior Color Lineup

Three familiar colors remain available with the facelift: Strong Blue, Attitude Black and Super White.

However, Toyota has replaced Silver Metallic and Graphite Grey with Metal Stream Metallic and Celestite Grey.

Phantom Brown has been removed from the color range.

Beige Interior Replaced by All-Black Cabin

The outgoing Corolla offered a beige interior in lower trims, while the top-spec variant used an all-black cabin.

With the facelift, all variants now receive an all-black interior.

The top-spec Grande adds the option of a Dark Chestnut interior, with Dark Chestnut leather seats paired with the otherwise black cabin.

Toyota has also replaced the previous silver interior accents with a combination of Warm Steel and black.

Same 9-Inch Screen, Better Connectivity on Grande

The infotainment screen remains unchanged in size.

Both the outgoing Corolla and the facelift use a 9-inch capacitive touchscreen.

The main difference is connectivity, with the new Grande receiving wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Lower variants continue with the same 9-inch touchscreen and basic connectivity options, including USB, MirrorLink, Bluetooth, radio and AUX.

Upgraded Speaker System

The outgoing Corolla used a six-speaker locally sourced setup.

The facelift now receives six imported speakers with Panasonic tweeters.

Unlike some other upgrades, the new speaker setup is standard across all trims.

LED Lighting Expands to More Variants

Previously, LED headlamps, daytime running lights and auto levelling were available from the 1.6 CVTi SE variant and above.

In the facelift, these features are offered across the lineup except for the base variant.

The rear fog lamp follows the same pattern and is now available on all variants except the entry-level trim.

Parking Sensors Added to Grande

The outgoing Corolla did not offer the parking-sensor setup introduced with the facelift.

The new Corolla gets two front and four rear parking sensors, giving drivers six sensors in total.

However, this feature is available only on the Grande variant.

Rear Passengers Get USB Type-C

The outgoing Corolla offered USB Type-A connectivity for rear passengers.

The facelift adds a USB Type-C port alongside the existing Type-A connection.

This upgrade is standard across the entire lineup.

What Has Really Changed?

Toyota has not fundamentally altered the formula of the 11th-generation Corolla.

Instead, the third facelift focuses on refreshing the design and adding equipment that was missing from the outgoing model.

The most visible changes are on the exterior, where Toyota has revised the front and rear styling, introduced new alloy wheels and updated the color palette.

Inside, the old silver trim and beige cabin option have been replaced by a darker interior treatment, while the Grande adds an optional Dark Chestnut leather combination.

The facelift also introduces several equipment improvements.

The upgraded speaker system and USB Type-C are available across the range, while LED lighting and the rear fog lamp have been extended to more variants.

Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the six-sensor parking system remain limited to the Grande.

Overall, the third facelift is primarily a styling and equipment update rather than a major mechanical or structural change to the Corolla itself.

The next question is whether these additions are enough to keep the 11th-generation Corolla competitive in Pakistan in 2026.
